Admission and Deadlines

Graduates of the mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, mechatronics engineering, manufacturing engineering, automotive engineering, aerospace engineering, mathematics, physics, statistics, psychology, sociology and the other related programs may apply.

No scholarship opportunity for the students in the non-thesis program. 

For the thesis program, scholarships in the range of 25-100% are available on a merit basis.

To start the program, candidates must satisfy the requirements of the English Language School (ELS). Please visit the https://els.tedu.edu.tr/en/els/exemption for more information. 

Evaluation Criteria for the applications to the thesis and non-thesis programs:

Cumulative Grade Point Average = 20%
Interview Score =30% 
ALES score=50% (Applicants to the non-thesis program who have professional experience in the related field more than 5 years do not have to provide an ALES score. In this case the ALES score is considered to be 70.)
International applicants may submit GRE scores instead of ALES.

Required Documents:

  1. Application Form
  2. An up-to-date resume,
  3. A scanned copy of the transcript from the most recent undergraduate institution,
  4. A scanned copy of the ALES score document. International applicants may submit GRE scores instead of ALES.
  5. Certification of English proficiency (an up-to-date IELTS, TOEFL, KPDS, ÜDS, YDS, UCLES score document)

 

ALES Score Requirement for Applicants Holding Doctoral Degrees

Candidates holding degrees of "Doctor of Philosophy / proficiency in arts / specialization in medicine / specialization in dentistry / specialization in veterinary medicine  / specialization in pharmacy" may apply to the graduate programs at TED University without an ALES score, in which case an ALES score of 70 is used for processing their application.

 

In case of admission, the following original documents will be collected during registration.

  • An approved copy of the undergraduate diploma
  • Sealed copy of official transcript
  • Copy of the national ID card
  • Military service report for male students
  • An up-to-date CV
  • 4 passport photos of the size 4,5 cm x 6 cm (colored, face visible for easy identification, taken in the last 6 months)
  • Bank certification showing tuition payment (For Turkish nationals, based on a unit charge of 600 TRY + VAT per credit taken in each academic semester. Minimum credit load in the first semester is 6. International students may obtain information at the following link: https://ipo.tedu.edu.tr/en/ipo/fees-1.)
  • ALES Exam Score Report (Minimum quantitative score of 65 required(149 GRE Quantitative). Applicants to the non-thesis program who have professional experience in the related field more than 5 years do not have to provide an ALES score. In this case, the ALES score is considered to be 70.) International applicants may submit GRE scores instead of ALES.
  • Certification of English proficiency (an up-to-date IELTS, TOEFL, KPDS, ÜDS, YDS, UCLES score document). In the absence of the previous certification, students may also take the English Proficiency Exam (EPE) administered by the English Language School of TEDU.

All students should have their English proficiency documentation approved by the English Language School before submitting it to the institute.

Application Calendar for the Fall Semester of the 2020-2021 Academic Year*

  • Applications of international students and early applications of all applicants: April 13 - May 22 
  • Interviews for international students and early applicants: June 1 - 5 
  • Applications of all applicants (International and Turkish students): May 23 – September 4
  • Interviews for all applicants (International and Turkish students): September 7 - 13

Tuition Information

For Turkish nationals, tuition is calculated for every registration semester based on a cost of 740 TL per credit. Tuition charges for each of the non-credit courses are the same as that for a 3-credit course. International students are subject to different tuition charges, for which information is available at the following link: https://ipo.tedu.edu.tr/en/ipo/fees-1.
